Beloved,
How To Choose To Be Happy In Life:

• FAITH TRIUMPHS IN TROUBLE. "Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ." (Romans 5:1). Jesus says: "These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulations, problems and challenges, but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world". (John 16:33).
Always remember that there is nobody on this earth that does not have problems. You are not the only one that has problems. As a Christian, Lord Jesus Christ has already overcome for you. Be happy.

• EVERYTHING HAS ITS OWN TIME. "To everything there is a season, a time for every purpose under heaven." (Ecclesiastes 3:1-8).
"No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man, but God is faithful, Who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to to bear it." (1 Corinthians 10:13). Temptations and challenges are part of life. It is only a dead man that has no challenges. Don't worry, God will make a way of escape and turn your challenges into Testimonies. Be happy.

• PROBLEMS, CHALLENGES AND TRIALS ARE FOR OUR PROFIT. "Brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience." (James 1:2-3).
There is no problem that has no solution. There are solutions to the challenges, trials and pains you are passing through.
After every trial, you will be elevated in all ramifications. Therefore, be happy.

• BE COURAGEOUS. "For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and love and of a sound mind." (2 Timothy 1:7). The way you picture yourself in your mind can affect your happiness. Picture yourself as a valuable and beautiful person. Avoid low self esteem and inferiority complex. Love your neighbour as yourself, means that you should love yourself and then love your neighbour as yourself. You are specially created by God, be happy.

• BE FAITHFUL AND REMAIN FOCUSED ON CHRIST JESUS. "So Jesus answered and said to them - Have faith in God." (Mark 11:22).
Do not mind about what people say about you. Some people are sadists. They can just say somethings just to make you feel sad. Whatever the situation may be, continue to "rejoice in hope, patient in tribulations, and steadfast in prayer." (Romans 12:12). And be happy. When you are happy, your distractors will be sad. Again, I say, be happy.

• JESUS THE LIGHT OF THE WORLD. "Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying - I am the Light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life." (John 8:12).
Make friends with reasonable people who make you happy. Do not make friends with people who make jest of you or laugh at you over your challenges.
Therefore, "Do not be equally yoked together with unbelievers or wicked people. For what Fellowship has righteousness with lawlessness? And what Communion has light with darkness?" (2. Corinthians 6:14). Walk in the light of Christ Jesus and be happy.
.
• MEDITATE IN THE BIBLE. "This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success." (Joshua 1:8).
At your leisure time, keep yourself busy with your favorite hobbies like reciting the BIBLE passages or listening to Sermons and meditating in it. "Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, noble, just, pure, lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy - meditate on these things." (Philippians 4:8). And be happy.

• DON'T BE INTIMIDATED. "Do not be intimidated by anyone and let no one despise your youth, but be an example to the believers in word, in conduct, in love, in spirit, in purity." (1. Timothy 4:12).
Do not allow anyone to intimidate you with money and material things. A poor man today can become rich tomorrow. Change IS the only thing that is constant. And be happy.

• BE HOPEFUL. "Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us." (Romans 5:5).
No matter what you are passing through today, do not give up. As long as there is life, there is hope. And be happy.

• PRAYER IS THE KEY. "Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, in everything give thanks, for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you." (1. Thessalonians
5:16-18).
Be very prayerful. Pray without ceasing. Prayer is your way of communicating with God. Prayer is a catalyst that can speed up your blessings to come to you on time.
Be courageous to go for what you want. Life is all about risk. If you don't take calculated risk, you may not get the desires of your heart. No risk, no gain.
The choice of Life or Death, and Happiness or Sadness is yours.

"I call heaven and earth as witnesses today against you, that I have set before you Life and Death, Blessing and Cursing, therefore, choose life, that both you and your descendants may live. And that you may love the LORD your God, that you may obey His voice, and that you may cling to Him, for He is your life and the length of your days."
(Deuteronomy 30:19-20). Be Happy!

HAPPINESS IS A CHOICE. THERE'S NO KEY TO HAPPINESS. THE DOOR OF HAPPINESS IS ALWAYS OPEN. EITHER TO ENTER OR NOT, THE CHOICE (DECISION) IS YOURS!
BE READY TO LIVE WITH THE CONSEQUENCES OF YOUR CHOICE!

HAPPINESS IS A CHOICE - His Holiness, The Most Revd. Dr. Rufus Okikiola Olubiyi OSITELU

"The earth is the Lord's, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein. For he hath founded it upon the seas, and established it upon the floods."
Psalms 24:1‭-‬2
The Earth Day is a global environmental movement marked on the 22nd of April every year. We celebrate the Earth Day by appreciating and respecting the natural world. `

The Negative impact of human activity on the climate and the environment has increased tremendously. This has led to so many environmental hazards, crisis, diseases, and conflicts. Climate and environmental pollution are now alarming and becoming uncontrollable. It is therefore our call to respond to Eco-injustices and to make conscious efforts to preserve the earth.

The Student Christian Movement (SCM) of Nigeria this year is actualizing part of the objectives of her strategic plan which has to do with enlightenment and advocacy to her members and the general public about Social issues

The Inter-Church, National and International Affairs Department of the SCM is saddled with this responsibility and has decided to carry out Social Media Engagement to mark the World Earth Day with the goal of raising awareness about mankind’s role in protecting our natural world. We, therefore, beacon on our movement, partners, and the public to join the Renew Our World Campaign Nigeria to act this week and beyond.

Earth Day events range from river and drainage cleanups to invasive removals, environmental cleanups, creating awareness about single-use plastic, air pollution such as smoke, burning of fossil fuels at high temperature, etc.

With social distancing in place for many of us this April, Earth Day has gone digital. Virtual events like environmental lectures and films will take place on Earth Day (Wednesday, April 22nd) instead. Of course, social distancing does not mean that you cannot go outside and enjoy nature if you do so responsibly!

OUR ACTION FOR WORLD EARTH DAY
The Student Christian Movement of Nigeria in partnership with Tearfund and Youth Wing of Christian Council of Nigeria (YOWICCN) on Renew Our World campaign, will have social media engagement to mark 22nd April 2020 Earth day.
We encourage our members and the public to post pictures on social media with ash tags to inspire people and create awareness.

Amidst the global pandemic that has engendered a total lock down of activities in all the countries of the world, Nigeria without exception, many people, particularly people whose feeding is defined by their daily hustle, have found it difficult to keep the soul and body together.

As part of her corporate social responsibilities, the  leadership of Ogere Community Development Council deem it appropriate to relief her residents by sharing food substances. About 2000 pieces of food varieties such as; Semovita, Rice, Garri etc were distributed to the households on Sunday 12th April, 2020.

The singular action sparked the joy of Ogere residents where women were seeing beaming with smile and murmuring thanks.

To see to equal distribution, the council constituted a committee chaired by Dr. Olasunkanmi Sola Mustapha (SOM) and his subordinates who had embarked on sensitization and awareness campaigns on the upcoming gesture and the mode of distribution - that was to ensure every inhabitant of Ogere Land was informed.

During an exclusive interview with Divine Generation Media, the Chairman expressed his feeling of positive impression about the process and the testimonies of the people of the coordination and the sufficiency the relief materials which reached all the households. "We thank God for this initiative and especially for raising both national and international donors. We couldn't have done this if not for the support we received from those philanthropists", said the Dr. Mustapha.

He continued, "It would be a sin not acknowledging the persons whose hooping contributions metamorphosed into the actualization of the vision. The list is long but I have to mention amongst others; Dr. Olatunde Agbato, Dr. Olayinka Agbato, Araba of Ogere Remo, Otunba Dayo Onabowale, Prince Lekan Oyegunwa, Com. Ayo Abudu and his group. The work was easier as these persons without contestation keyed into the vision immediately they received our letter and started sending their donations. It is our prayer that God replenish them".

     OCDC COVID-19 RELIEF COMMITTEE

When asked if the action was staged momentarily, the Chairman, noted that the committee has begun another plan, and has reached out to well-to-do individuals for support in other to carry out the second batch of the distribution soon. Ever since, Ogere Community has been a cynosure to her neighbours.
