The University of Ibadan has on Monday honoured the Supreme Head of The church of the Lord, His Holiness, Most Revd Okikiola Ositelu (PhD); along side with the Supreme Head of the Cherubim & Seraphim Unification Church of Nigeria, His Most Eminence, Dr Prophet Solomon Adegboyega Alao JP; and 92-year-old Professor of Church History from Scotland, Andrew Walls.

They were, among others, inducted as Distinguished Fellow of the Nigerian Academy of Church History and Missiology (NACHAM).

The Nigerian Academy of Church History and Missiology is an integral part of the Department of Religious Studies, Faculty of Arts, University of Ibadan.

The Vice Chancellor of the 71-year-old university, Prof Abel Idowu Olayinka, who welcomed the awardees and their entourage emphasised the importance of religion in nation-building and urged the church to continually pray for the country.

Prof Olayinka, who was represented by the Deputy Vice Chancellor (Academics), Prof Adebola Ekanola, urged the religious leaders to pray for the university, noting that the establishment of UI was divine and this was well emphasised by the school anthem.

Other religious leaders honoured include the National Vice President, The Apostolic Church Nigeria, Pastor (Dr) Emmanuel Segun Awojide JP, and President Christ Apostolic Church, Pastor (Dr) Abraham Olukunle Akinosun (JP).

Setting the tone for the prestigious award, the Head of Department, Religious Studies and National President of the Academy, Prof Samson Adetunji Fatokun, said, “We are today going to induct the carefully selected national leaders of Nigerian initiated churches of the earliest 20th-century origin as ‘Distinguished Honorary Fellows’ of the Academy. Historically evaluated, the four selected Nigerian instituted churches have in their formative years in the country, significantly played pivotal roles (without the physical presence of any white missions with them), in laying the foundation for indigenous Pentecostal Christianity in the Nigerian church which in turn ignited the flame of ‘Spirit-Renewal Movement as we have all over the country today.”

He continued, “The honorees are, “indeed men of ‘timber and calibre’ who have significantly contributed through their respective church denominations to the advancement of Nigerian indigenous Christianity both in African countries and overseas, as evident in their numerous branches outside Nigeria with striking Nigeria indigenous identities.”

Prof Fatokun also pleaded with the governments at the state and federal level to do more in alleviating the suffering of the people and do all to fight corruption in the country.

He also pleaded with religious leaders to join hands with President Muhammadu Buhari in his quest to fight corruption and make the country better.

  THE SHEKINAH GLORY

  (The Administrator of The Church of The Lord) during a sermon delivered at The Church of The Lord,  Rehoboth Chapel, Ogere Remo, Ogun State, Nigeria.       

     Text: Exodus 24:1-18.

INTRODUCTION
           The Shekinah glory is the Hebrew name given to the presence of God dwelling on the earth. It mean "he caused to dwell" and it was the term given to a divine visitation of Yahweh. A notable example of the Shekinah glory is the pillar of cloud by day and pillar of fire by night that guided the Israelites through the desert after their exodus from Egypt (Exodus 13:20–22).
           The Shekinah glory is a visible manifestation of God in the natural world. At times, the Spirit of the Lord would visit people in human form and at times, the Spirit of the Lord would "rush upon"
a person and give them supernatural powers, But neither of these is the Shekinah glory. The Shekinah glory is the presence of God in a natural object, like the pillar of cloud or the burning bush When Moses spoke to God in the cloud, it was the same as speaking to Him "face to face" But when Moses asked to see God's glory directly, God refused, saying "you cannot see my face, for man shall not see me and live"
          Jesus Christ was the ultimate form of God appearing to man. Colossians 2:9 says that, "in him the whole fullness of deity dwells bodily." Jesus told His disciples that anyone who had seen Him had also seen the Father. Jesus was a manifestation of God. The book of Hebrews beautifully describes Jesus as the High Priest who offered an eternal sacrifice in the holy place, so there would be no more separation between man and God, and no more need for sacrifices. When that body was torn on the cross, the veil hanging over the holy place was also torn in two. This was a symbol—it meant that Christ had finished the work of grace, giving us access to the Lord Himself and to His Holy Spirit, who came to dwell within us.
God is omnipresent, meaning He is present at all times and in all places.

PROPHETIC DECLARATIONS
• I declare, enter your place of Glory.

• I declare that nothing shall be able to limit or stop you from becoming what God has created you to be, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.

• Wherever you go, I decree and declare that you shall be preferred above every other person, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.

• I decree and declare that at the end of this year, it shall be a season of outstanding miracles for you, in Jesus’ name.

• Divine healing, good health and a sound mind is your portion.

• The unusual favour of God shall follow you for the rest of the year in Jesus Name.

• I shall be accepted, promoted, and be successful.

• I decree and declare that you will receive the manifestation of the supernatural in your life and everything that pertains to you, in Jesus’ name.

• By the grace of Jesus Christ, I decree and declare that the year 2019 is my year of financial increase and expansion, in Jesus’ name.

• This last few moments of the year, I decree that you shall not borrow money, but you will have more than enough, and lend to those who ask from you, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.

• Mark 5: 1-17   The Man from the Tombs: Christ Speaks to the Problem of Spiritual Bondage.

          The summary of the story goes like this. When Jesus and his disciples come to the mostly-Gentile region of the Gerasenes, they are met by a man whose life has been destroyed by demonic infestation. The demons in the man recognize Jesus and the man bows before him. After the man confesses (or the demons confess, depending on how you look at it) that there are many demons within him, Jesus casts out the demons and sends them into a nearby herd of 2,000 pigs. The pigs promptly rush off a cliff into the Sea of Galilee and drown. When the townspeople learn what has happened, they ask Jesus to leave. Jesus agrees to leave, but not before refusing a request by the formerly demonized man to go with him. The man is instead told to go back home and tell his family and friends what Christ has done for him. This he does, word spreads throughout the region, and everyone who hears what happened is amazed.
        Because of God’s grace upon my life, I receive a hundred percent restoration of everything I have lost, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.

• By the authority of Jesus Christ upon my life, I prophesy that this year is your year of open doors for success, promotion, prosperity, marital blessings, financial breakthroughs and all-round blessings in Jesus’ name.

• I decree and declare that the good doors that were closed against you in the past will be opened wide for you to enter in and possess my possessions, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.

• The promises of God concerning your life, both past and present must all be fulfilled in your life, in Jesus’ name.
Whoever planned or is planning any evil against shall fall now into his or her own plan, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.

• I decree and declare that the purposes, plans, proclamations, perceptions, permissions and all strategies of Satan, demons and their human agents will never be birthed in your life, family, marriage, job, business, education and ministry in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.

• I decree and declare that whoever is holding what belongs to me must release it to me as I enter the year 2019, in Jesus’ name.

• Shame, disgrace, rejection, demotion, failure, denial and disfavour is not my portion in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.

• Sickness, accident, death, fire-outbreak, earthquake, tsunami, tornado, flooding, armed robbery attack, sexual assault, physical assault or any form of aggression will never locate you, nor my family, nor any of my loved ones, nor our belongings, in Jesus’ name.

• I decree and declare unlimited protection upon your life, your family, our loved ones and everything that belongs to us, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.

• Standing upon the everlasting Word of God, I decree and declare that only the will of the Most High God will be done in your life now, in Jesus’ name.

• Every evil joke or burden I have been carrying, I decree and declare that such be broken of your life.

• May the Lord increase your peace, decrease your frustrations, multiply his favour on you, add his blessings and divide every disaster. I declare this over your life.

• May the LORD paralyse every problem, may he cripple every crisis and may he make all negative games of the enemy become lame.
The LORD be your power source, may you be connected to destiny may you never miss your opportunities in Jesus Name.

• May you conquer in your battles, may you run ahead in your race, may you be granted strength to jump over walls of opposition and may you climb on top of your mountains by GOD’s grace.

• The woman with issues of blood flow received her miracle outside of her house; she met JESUS outside and touched his cloth. From this day as you step outside of your house may you receive a miracle and good news.

• You will accomplish every task, believing that you are the head and not the tail, that you are overcomer and not the defeated, that God is for you and not against you.
You will start well in life, you will never go on reverse and nothing will cause you to breakdown.

• As you accelerate you will overtake those in front of you and as you drive, you will never get any accident.

• You will shine like the sun, you will be recognised like the star, you will be remembered like the moon and you will be coloured like the rainbow.

• Your life will be full of light, darkness is not your portion.

• Your favour will not be dimmed and you will never walk in shadows.

• May you be well covered in your winter, be happy in your summer and embrace the beauty of your spring.

• You will take off very high in life, you will land successfully, in your life journey you will cruise very well and the LORD will be your pilot and his angels will serve you as your hostess.

• Today you will achieve your mission with a great passion.

• Move in your day with great vision and show people that come your way with compassion.

• Don’t worry at all, because you are too blessed to be Stressed,
Too Anointed to be disappointed and too elevated to be Devastated
You are too consecrated to be frustrated

CONCLUSION
          No human situation is beyond his healing touch. If your life is a mess, ask Jesus to deliver you. Admit you can’t change and then cry out for his mercy. Ask him to chase the demons out of your life. Ask him to take away the torment.
           Ask him to change you from the inside out. Come humbly to Jesus and ask him to be your Lord and Savior. Run to the cross. Lay your burdens, your cares, your worries, and your fears upon the Son of God. Lay your sins and faults and failures on his strong back. If you come to Christ, he will not turn you away. And when Christ answers, and he always does, go and tell others what he has done for you.
